Shane Mauss caught his first big breaks early in his career with appearances on Conan, Comedy Central, HBO, and Showtime. Since then, he’s spent nearly 20 years touring full-time—carving one of the most unconventional paths in comedy.
He’s done comedy specials about animal mating behavior, the evolution of moods, and early next year releases the most spectacular work of his career - an epic two-part comedy special about psychedelics.
Driven by a fascination with the psychology, behavior, decision making, and science’s unique lens on the human condition, Shane began interviewing scientists at universities in the towns where he performed—just as a hobby. That curiosity snowballed into Here We Are, a podcast with over 400 scientist interviews, and a series of themed comedy shows that take ambitious ideas and make them hilarious, relatable, and accessible for the lifelong learner.
A former factory worker turned mind explorer and self-taught wildman, Shane never went to college—yet somehow found himself swapping ideas with some of the world’s brightest minds. His work blends stand-up comedy with thought-provoking insights, offering an experience that goes beyond the typical night of laughs.
A rebel with a cause, Shane creates “elevated comedy” for audiences who are as intellectually curious as they are fun—people hungry for something cerebral, original, and off-beat.

Originally from Wisconsin, Shane Mauss caught his first break when he was awarded ‘Best Stand-Up” at The HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in 2007. This led to his TV debut and first of five appearances on Conan.
Since that time he’s been on Jimmy Kimmel, Showtime, has had a Comedy Central Presents, a Netflix special ‘Mating Season’, and most recently released album inspired by breaking both of his feet in a hiking mishap called ‘My Big Break’ which spent time at #1 on the comedy iTunes charts.
Shane has also been getting a lot of attention as a popular guest on podcasts such as You Made It Weird, Bertcast, WTF, Duncan Trussell’s Family Hour, TOFOP, Crabfeast, Never Not Funny, Keith and The Girl and last year he started traveling around the country interviewing scientists about the meanings of life for his own podcast “Here We Are” which has a 5 star rating on iTunes.
A full breakout of your ticket will be shown during checkout. The service fees help cover the costs of putting on the show. They are shared between the various organizing parties, and may include a profit to them.
All shows are 21+.
Instead of a drink minimum, we have a two-item per person minimum in the Showroom, which can be fulfilled with any food or drink items from the menu.
Please Note: Food and drinks purchased in the bar and lounge do not count towards the two-item minimum. Additionally, for parties of 6 or more in the showroom, an automatic 20% gratuity will be added to the bill.
- General Admission seating is assigned on a first-come, first-sat basis as you enter the showroom. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.
- Reserved seats are assigned for you by management on the night of the show. They are the best seats available for your party size at the time they are assigned.
Please Note: We do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee seats in a specific location or that your party will have a table to themselves.
- While we cannot guarantee seats together, General admission groups should arrive at least 1 hour before showtime and enter the showroom as a group for the best chance of being seated together.
- Reserved groups who purchase tickets in a single order will be automatically assigned seating together. Reserved ticket holders who purchase separately are not guaranteed seating together. Please see your email confirmation for details if your group purchased separately.
